Europe's best event riders will be welcomed to the Scottish Highlands next September when the FEI European Eventing Championships come to Atholl Estates' fairytale Blair Castle, situated between Perth and Inverness, to battle for medal glory.

The FEI European Eventing Championships form part of UK Sport’s National Lottery funded Gold Event Series, an ambitious programme to bring up to 70 world class sporting events to the UK by 2019. Eventing combines the elegance and precision of the dressage with the thrill and excitement of the adrenalin-charged cross country jumping, where horse and rider gallop over imposing fences, up and down the side of Blair's infamous hillside, and where trust, courage and bravery are paramount; and finally the show jumping, where the tiniest rub of a hoof on a rail can dash dreams in an instant.
