Olympic stallions confirmed at Northern Stallion Showcase

Plan your visit to the 2018 Northern Stallion Showcase on Saturday April 7th to meet these legends in person. It's a fabulous horsey day out.

Two Olympic showjumping stallions, Arko III and Jaguar Mail, are amongst the fabulous line up being presented by studs from across the UK at the fifth annual Northern Stallion Showcase on Saturday April 7th at Newton Rigg College Equestrian Centre near Penrith in Cumbria.

This year's Showcase, again supported by Baileys Horse Feeds, will welcome visitors from across a very wide region and as more entries are confirmed, the opportunity to evaluate a large number of potential sires ahead of the main breeding season is attracting increasing interest.

Amongst the busiest of the studs at the Showcase will once again will be Glenwood Stud from Stamfordham in Northumberland, which has a number of stallions entered. Val Williams confirmed; "Glenwood has been bringing stallions to the Northern Stallion Show Case since it started a few years ago. We have always found it to be extremely well run and a great day for everyone. We have certainly gained clients from taking our stallions to this event as they can be seen in their stables,  we can chat to the mare owners in depth and they can watch them moving in hand, ridden or jumping, depending on the stallion.  We are delighted to be taking stallions again this year."

Emma Greenland from Ivy House Stables Stallion Centre has the shortest distance to travel from Skelton near Penrith and is another 'regular' at the Showcase. She will again present the thoroughbred son of Kyllachy, Arabian Gleam and said; "We are looking forward to bringing Arabian Gleam back to our local stallion showcase, meeting customers old and new and hopefully creating a bit more of a buzz about our special boy!"
