Nominations Are Open For Petplan and the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Charity Awards.

Petplan is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the 2020 Petplan & ADCH Charity Awards, as Petplan will once again be recognising the remarkable work carried out by some of the best charity professionals in the country.

Last year, Summerfield Stables won the Animal Charity Team of the Year award. The charity, which is situated in central Birmingham and was set up 49 years ago, offers access for local children to ride and look after rescued equines. Children with mental health issues, those who are excluded from school and children with learning disabilities are amongst the youngsters who benefit from time spent with the horses and ponies, many of whom will never have spent time with a horse before.

Some of the volunteers have been with the charity for more than 40 years and are exceptionally committed to helping not only the ponies and horses, but also educating the children who go to Summerfield Stables too.

Georgina Urwin spoke on behalf of Summerfield Stables, “Winning the award was a huge boost to morale for all the volunteers who give so much time to the charity.  We have some amazing volunteers who work so very hard.  This recognition is so important and a great thank you to the team.”

The Petplan and ADCH Animal Charity Awards give you the opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication of charities and say, ‘thank you.’ Nominations close at midnight on 16 January 2020 and the winners will be announced at an award ceremony on 6 May 2020.
