Study Confirms 10 Major Causes of Lameness Seen By Farriers
An interesting study carried out in 2019 was recently published by the American Farriers Joiurnal and revealed the 10 major cuases of lameness seen by farriers in the horses they work with.
Abcesses and laminitis feature at the top of the list, but improper footcare is right up there! Degenerative diseases are regularly seen by over half of all farriers, which may reflect workload, nutritional status and management.
