Championship Showing Action Live on Horse & Country

Three showing fixtures are to be streamed live from Arena UK starting August 15-16 with the UK National Championships, offering a great opportunity to watch all the action, especially as the shows are closed to spectators in line with current Covid guidelines.

Image, courtesy of EquinationalThis new event will see the country’s leading producers and riders competing in classes for horses and ponies ranging from show hunters to riding horses, cobs, hacks, intermediates, amateur and open sections, coloureds and Mountain & Moorlands.

The Sunday will see a Supreme Championship in honour of much-loved showing producer and rider, Rory Gilsenan, with a trophy awarded to the overall supreme of show in his memory. Live action will be covering the horse ring over the weekend with entries for all sections well-filled and looking set for some great competition.

The show is the brainchild of rider and producer Scott Dixon and it has met with fantastic support from sponsors, together with many of the top names in the world of showing who will be travelling to Lincolnshire to compete for major honours.

Said Scott: “It is fantastic to have Horse & Country providing live coverage over the two days and wonderful to be able to get the show off the ground after such a difficult and frustrating year for everyone.”

In further great news for showing fans, H&C will also be live streaming the British Show Pony Society Summer Championships (28th to 30th August) and the Coloured Horse & Pony Society Summer Championships (5th and 6th September).
